Known as the City of Seven Neighborhoods, San Luis Potosi  is located in central Mexico and is roughly equidistant from Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey. Founded in 1592, the city is distinguished by its stunning, baroque architecture. The capital city of the state of San Luis Potosi is Mexico’s 10th largest in size, with a metropolitan population of roughly 1,000,000.

The largest convention center, the San Luis Potosi Convention Center, was inaugurated in 2009.
