Arms Plaza, Guadalajara's Historic Center

Guadalajara is the capital of the state of Jalisco, said to be the land of mariachis and tequila. It is also Mexico’s second (Monterrey might say, third) most important city after Mexico City. The “City of Roses” is rich with culture and history, good food, great art, and lots of Mexican crafts. Guadalajara manages to be cosmopolitan and laid back at the same time and might be compared favorably to Texas cities like San Antonio or Austin.

The convention center, Expo Guadalajara offers 167,322 square feet of event space for up to 50,000 people with 7 major halls, while the WTC Guadalajara has 66,131 square feet of meeting space. Guadalajara also has unique event venues, like the hacienda Mundo Cuervo created by one of the country’s leading producers of tequila, Jose Cuervo, with indoor and outdoor event space for up to 1,000 people.

With over 219 hotels and 19,000 hotel rooms, Guadalajara welcomes visitors from around the globe all year round.  The Hilton Hotel with 450 rooms and suites and 36,599 square feet of event space can accommodate up to 2,500 people and is a great choice for those who want to hold their event in a hotel.

The Miguel Hidalgo International Airport is 30 minutes from the city, with direct flights to Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose, Houston, Chicago, Dallas, and Panama, among others.
