The island of Cozumel - Mayan for “land of the swallows” -  is located in the Caribbean off the coast of Quintana Roo, one of the three states that make up the Yucatan Peninsula. Cozumel, known  for its scuba diving and snorkeling, as well as its relaxed Caribbean atmosphere attracts more then 2 million visitors a year. The island surface is 30 by 10 miles, making most attractions an easy walk, bike or taxi ride away. Car rental services are available.

Once on the island, the choices are endless: visitors can swim with dolphins, ride ATVs through the tropical jungle, hike through  the Faro Celarain Eco Park and linger over superb, seafood lunches and dinners.

The Cozumel Convention Center has 5,741 square feet of event space divisible in three rooms that can accommodate up to 700 people. There are 3,082 hotel rooms nearby. The Presidente InterContinental Cozumel Resort & Spa has 220 guest rooms and three meeting rooms that hold up to 250 people, perfect for small conferences, galas, and weddings on the beach.

Cozumel is accessible by air and boat, with the Cozumel International Airport located 5 minutes from the downtown area.  Both the 15-minute shuttle flights from Cancun International Airport and a ferry from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel depart every hour from 6 am to 11 pm.
