Mexico´s Coal Region, where 95% of the country’s coal reserves are found, is located in the state of Coahuila.


The scenic, semiarid desert that surrounds the Coal Region is home to a variety of wildlife, perfect for outdoor activities like mountain climbing, fishing, and hunting.


The Coal Region has event spaces for up to up to 1,000 people; for example, the Club de Leones de Sabinas (Lion´s Club) has three halls with up to 2,942 square feet of event space in the quaint city of Zaragoza. In the town of Sabinas, the El Dorado Hotel offers 74 well-equipped rooms, and conference space complete with wireless internet, audiovisual equipment and meal services.
